Flowers are also representative of emotions and they are used to convey feelings which may be difficult to express in words. Throughout the history of mankind, people have gifted flowers to convey messages or as tokens of love and admiration. The language of flowers is also known as floriography and has its roots in Ottoman Turkey at Constantinople where Tulips were a rage in the first half of the 18th century. From there, the Victorians created an elaborate list of meanings to describe different flowers.

During 1837 to 190, under the reign of Queen Victoria, the language of flowers became so important and flowers adorned all walks of life from hair to jewelry and home décor to clothing. The symbolism of flowers is still in usage today and lovers exchange Red Roses which are symbol of passionate love on the occasion of Valentine’s Day and other festivals.
